focus groups
Our facilitators have lead discussions on a variety of topics in
different settings. Our professionals have facilitated more than
500 individual focus groups with clients including government
agencies, major corporations, public universities, health care
entities, not-for profit organizations, state associations, public
education campaigns and legislative outreach efforts.
Our focus group facility is equipped with a one-way
mirror and unobtrusive recording devices. We also travel
to locations that are convenient for out research audience: businesses,
libraries, hospitals and other conference room settings.
We use focus groups for issue identification, question development
for quantitative studies, case studies (in combination with other
methods), and customer satisfaction/needs assessments.
Our survey unit recruits focus group participants from specific lists
or randomly chosen residents depending on the needs of the particular
assessment.
The survey unit has extensive experience in screening potential participants
to identify those with specific characteristics. After a participant
consents to attend a focus group they are sent a confirmation letter
and map, then called the day before the focus group for a final
reminder.
