SRG worked with Professor Moon Chen (at the University of California, Davis, and the California Department of Health) to collect tobacco use information for policy development. SRG completed a state-wide study of Chinese and Korean families in California. All telephone interviewing was conducted in English, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), and Korean. The sample data were subsequently weighted using 2000 US Census population data to generate population estimates for at-risk groups.
Services include:
programming CASES software for 5 different dialects using Chinese and Korean characters,
conducting 2,000 telephone interviews of California residents of Chinese descent,
conducting 2,500 telephone interviews of California residents of Korean descent,
conducting over 60% of all interviews in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean,
conducing analysis, and
writing reports.
