Assessments are conducted to evaluate a program’s
effectiveness at meeting its stated objectives. SRG conducts
two different types of assessments: outcome evaluations
and process evaluations.
Outcome evaluations examine outcomes and address
the question, “What kind of results does this program
produce?” This type of evaluation examines
results or changes due to a particular program and is necessary
in setting performance standards—measurable objectives
for program success.
Process evaluations examine the way an organization or
a particular program functions and address the question, “does
this program work the way we intended it to work?” They
describe how a program functions and identify potential barriers
to program success in terms of program implementation, management
strategies, or program costs.
SRG customizes each assessment to meet the unique needs of each
organization, which may include:
- Identification of potential barriers to meeting program goals, both internal and external
- Monitoring of program effectiveness over time
- Investigating the short and long-term effects of program/policy changes through longitudinal analysis
- Analysis of quantitative or qualitative program and outcome data
From the results, SRG analysts work with our clients to develop a set
of action-oriented recommendations. Our priority is to identify data-driven recommendations that represent practical,
actionable solutions to key questions set forth at the
outset of the assessment.
All program assessments include comprehensive reporting, involving
detailed analysis of all findings along with an accompanying executive
summary or summary of findings tailored to the needs of a particular audience.
