SRG and its partner, American Institutes for Research (AIR), conducted a web-based survey of over 66,000 Army healthcare personnel in both the continental United States and overseas locations. The goal of the project was to understand how Army Medical Department (AMEDD) personnel perceive various aspects of their organizational climate (such as adequacy of resources, opportunities for training and development, job satisfaction, morale, teamwork, supervision, and quality of patient care).
Services included:
- development of the 2005 Command Climate Survey (CCS),
- pilot testing the CCS using a focus group,
- administration of the Web survey, and
- data management and analysis.
Based on the results, actionable recommendations were provided in order to assist Commanders in developing and implementing strategies that improve the work environment of the employees and the quality of services provided by AMEDD. In addition to an overall final report, over 50 reports were generated for individual AMEDD organizations. The SRG/AIR team also presented the results to the Surgeon General of the Army.
